Vineyards:

The Nussberg is Vienna`s most important and most excellent vineyard. It’s ideal inclination, the chalky soils and the influence of the Danube guarantee a perfect micro-climate.
The great variety of grapes results from the Heurigen-tradition and the varied geology on Nussberg. The soils show a chalk content of 25% to 65% and include loam, clay and sand. Our most important single vineyards are: Oberer Schoss, Preussen, Ungern, Muckental, Schenkenberg and the one-of-a-kind site Alsegg in the 17th district.
